Hot plates are generally used to heat glassware or its contents. In a student laboratory hot plates are used because baths can be hazards if they spill, overheat or ignite, because they have a high thermal inertia (meaning they take a long time to cool down) and mantles can be very expensive and are designed for specific flask volumes.
CONSTRUCTION
These are sturdy singled walled unit made up of Mild Steel Duly powder Coated. Top(Working Area) of the Hot Plate is made of Stainless Steel. Heavy duty heating elements to work on 220 V AC placed at bottom. Microprocessor based Temperature controller is also provides to control the temperature..
